This Valentine’s Day, we took the pressure off cupid by surprising North Texas residents with thousands of complimentary roses. We visited parks, elementary schools, shopping plazas, senior homes and service offices from Denton to Dallas, North Richland Hills to McKinney, Frisco to Burleson, to Fort Worth to Richardson and everywhere in between. People were surprised and enthusiastic to receive roses which helped them get in the spirit of the love-day holiday. “I’ve never gotten a rose before!,” exclaimed an officer at the Corinth Police Department, “What a great idea, it certainly brightened my day!”

One of our favorite stops of the day was surprising the entire team at Minnie’s Food Pantry with roses. Employees from both the food pantry and the boutique next door erupted in cheer upon our arrival. The hard working volunteers and staff were appreciative and uplifted by our Random Act of Helpfulness. One of the volunteers thanked us and said, “I didn’t think I would get a rose this Valentine’s day. You guys made my day.”

So what’s next? We’ll be celebrating the start of spring with Easter surprises across North Texas. Keep an eye out for our Random Eggs of Helpfulness at parks, libraries, shopping plazas and local Easter egg hunt events. The eggs will be filled with an array of prizes including tickets to movie theaters; gift cards to coffee shops and stores; tickets to popular local attractions like the zoo, amusement parks, museums, and more!
